We are pleased to announce the call for proposals for the 2026 RCPAA Conference to be held
May 20-22, 2026, at Oaklawn Resort in Hot Springs, AR. This conference aims to bring
together professionals, researchers, and students in the diverse fields of rehabilitation
to share innovative practices, cutting edge research and practical strategies to
enhance the quality of life for those individuals with disabilities.
Submission Guidelines:
We invite proposals for presentations, workshops, panel discussions, and posters that address
a broad range of topics related to rehabilitation counseling including but not limited to:
Proposal Types:
1. Individual presentation: 60 minutes in length
2. Workshop: 90-120 minutes in length should provide practical experience
3. Panel Discussion: 60-minute session featuring multiple speakers focused on discussing
diverse perspectives on a specific topic.
4. Poster Presentation: Visual displays of research, programs, or innovative practices with
scheduled times for discussions with conference attendees
Submission Process:
1. Abstract: Submit a 300–500-word abstract outlining the content, objectives, and
significance of your presentation
2. Presenter info: provide the names, affiliations, and contact information for ALL
presenters.
3. Format Preferences: Indicate your preferred presentation format (individual,
workshop, panel discussion or poster presentation).
4. Bio: Include a brief biography (150 words or less) of each presenter
5. If you are seeking ethical CRC credits for your presentation, please provide a written
explanation and extent to which the CRCC or ACA code will be addressed within the
presentation.
6. All presenters will be responsible for their own material such as handouts and/or
electronic forms being distributed. All medians must be in accessible formatting
(large print, braille, etc.…)
Presenter Conference Discounts
Presenters are encouraged to stay for the conference and enjoy the meals, snacks, and other festivities. Presenters will receive a discounted registration rate of $50 (one day) or $100 (full conference).
